San Diego's climate has been acting up lately, some days temperatures may be searing, other days it would be raining dogs and cats. The unpredictable weather patterns are causing concern. Some people, not all, are effected by these variable weathers, those who get sick deem themselves as "bad luck". Illnesses caused by climate change can cause various various issues among animals, water supply, food supply and humans. In some degrees climate changes could harm the ozone layer further promoting the growth of the green house effect.
This event can lead to major changes in other parts of the world, which directly affects our abilities to produce sufficient food supplies. Viruses such as the West Nile virus travel with the carrier (i.e. mosquitoes). The mosquitoes move based on their natural needs or seasons, however, due to the green house effect their place of dwellings have expanded to areas that was once not affected by large mosquito populations. The human body is vulnerable to new streams of viruses and bacteria, we should all take precautions such as simple methods of avoiding the spread of germs. This can include, sneezing into your arm or piece of clothing to avoid the spread of germs through the air, getting the flu shot and whooping cough vaccine. Other ways to avoid getting sick is to improve eating habits, include lots of fruits and vegetables, especially citruses such as oranges, mandarin, and lemons which is high in vitamin c that has been found to boost the immune system.
