For those of you counting the calories for everything you eat, you might want to add a little more to what the label says. Researchers have found that there is a big gap on how many calories the packet says than to what is really in it.
In a study done by American Diabetic Dietetic Association, a Lean Cuisine package of shrimp and angel-hair pasta listed 220 calories but is really 319, while a Wendy's grilled chicken wrap says is 260 but its an amount of 344 calories. A few items do come at the calories they are advertised, but that is not the case most of the time. Researchers pointed out that restaurant portions vary from customer to customer, and frozen meal makers face stiff penalties for selling underweight packages, so they tend to err on the side of heavier portions.
It's a margin of error of at least 20 percent, by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration. For those who want to lose wight try to keep in mind that you may not be consuming the calories a package says.
Most high schools in the area of San Diego offer a wrestling program for their students. Most of the school also have a full tema, which means they have people tha weight as little as 103 lbs to people who wigh more than 215 lbs. Like all other sprots wrestling is a sport that requires a lot of team work but also a lot of dedication to its training. At Hoover High School practices are held after school for at least 3 hours everyday except Wednesday when they usually have their competitions. Their practice starts off with a 30 minute run around the block and returning to the wrestling room to stretch and get their bodies ready for the long workout ahead of them. Most practices involve a partner of similiar weight since one is always compeating against that same weight level. For most schools its the same routine. Practices are done with a partener and there are always something new to learn or to work on. All of the wrestlers know that there is a lot of dedication involved. If a team member does not make weight that person will be costing the team valueble points for their matches. Overall, wrestling is one of the many sports that require dedication and discipline but in the end are very rewarding.
Thirty minutes of daily exercise is a good way to avoid the risk of stroke or cardiovascular brain. Physical activity helps strengthen the muscles of the heart and maintain proper operation. Changing lifestyle can reduce the risk of stroke and it is better to start now than to wait further on when diseases have started to come up on your body and before it becomes evident that your body is not as healthy as when it was young.
A lot of people are dying at a younger age. People over the age of 50 are more prone to a heart attack then what they were in their 20's. Most of the people who suffer from this are people who do not exercise, eat proper foods, consume liquor and other chemicals to their bodies. People who live this sort of lifestyle are the people who die from a myocardial infarction.
Just the simple act of getting up and walking around the park for 30 minutes to an hour can help out your body more than what you can imagine. The simple task of walking help strengthen your heart and its muscles, bring oxygen to your body, and can enhance your metabolism.
Now for those who are up to a little more of a challenge there is jogging or running. This task requires more capacity but also goes along with walking. Once you have usual place to walk it might be a good idea to step it up a notch and start jogging then progress to running. Running or jogging require for your body to need more oxygen and start pumping blood to your body. the more blood that is pumped the more your heart is beating.
Doing this regularly may not be an option to most individuals but there is a way to keep on being active. When you are going up the stairs try to use the steps and the escalator. walk up the building and try not the use the elevator as much as possible. Elevators, escalators, and car require little or no physical movement. So, if you are going only a short distance try to walk and not use your car.
The people who are more active are less likely to become prone to a heart attack. They also live a longer healthier lifestyle and live longer. So, lets take care of our bodies and let's try to get active. Remember to not try to go over your limit progress until your body feels it can do more. Pushing your body more than it can go is hurting it not helping it.
Medicine balls are great for exercising your body but most of them come at an expensive price. They are around a dollar a pound and the heavier they get the more expensive they become, but that's not a factor no more. Today medicine balls can be made for only a few dollars.
What you need:
Number one on your list is a basketball. This is the most important element you will need to make your ball.
A radial tire puncture plug kit, this is to make the hole on the ball. if you buy the kit it comes with a plunger and rasp. Also, buy some plugs you will need them.
A funnel. This will be needed to insert whatever you are going to put inside the ball. whether it is rice or sand this makes the insertion more easier and if you can't buy a funnel make one! get any container on the shape of a funnel cut the top a you have a funnel.
Shoe Goo. This seals the deal! Shoe Goo keeps the whole ball together and sealed up after finished with putting the element inside the ball.
Sand or rice. If you want a light ball put some rice inside of it, but if you need a heavier ball simply get some sand. Sand can be found just about anywhere go to the beach and pick some up or buy some at the hardware store.
What to do:
Take the ball and jam a hole into it and run the ball over one eight of a turn and jam another hole. You will need to holes because one will be for the funnel and the other for the air to come out.
Insert a funnel into a hole and start pouring in the sand. This may be a slow process but the time is worth once you have your own medicine ball.
Closing the ball. This is the final step before acquiring your medicine ball. Once all the sand has been poured into the ball get the plunger and plug and jam following the instructions of the package.
Now for the hard part. Get some Shoe Goo and put it on top of the plugs. Wait for a few hours and you will have your own medicine ball all ready to be used.
Making a medicine ball may take a few hours but in the end it is worth it. You will have a cheap medicine ball for when you exercise and for a low cost as well.

Over the summer I learned how to swim. I am not the best swimmer out there but I am decent. Swimming is a good way to exercise and best of all its enjoyable. There is actually a community pool right here in City Heights between Fairmount Avenue and Landis Street. But it is not the only one, less than a mile away there is another "not as big" pool at the YMCA on 43rd and Landis Street. They charge a fairly reasonable fee. The best part is the pool is inside! That means that we can use the pool over the winter and not be cold! Swimming is also a good way to do some exercise since the holidays are here and we do not want to start looking like Santa. If swimming is not for you, don't worry the YMCA also offers: job trainings, group exercises, strength training, walking, yoga, personal fitness, tennis, football, in-line roller skate hockey, and so much more that you would get bored reading them all. If you want to come back from Christmas break toned get a membership today at the YMCA and start working out. And yes guys there is a gym so you can work out those muscles, six packs and maybe join one of the dozens of sports and activities offered at the YMCA. Did I mention there's scuba diving? Go to www.copley.ymca.org to find out more.
